Visitation is Wednesday for Bob Hughes

Bobby Vernon Hughes of Oologah passed away on Friday, Jan. 6, 2017 at St. John Medical Center with his family by his side. He was 79. The family will receive visitors from 1-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11 at MMS Payne Funeral Home in Claremore, 102 W. 5th St.

Karly Wadsworth led the Lady Mustangs with 18 points against Lincoln Christian on Thursday night to advance to the Championship match against Vinita at 7 p.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs face Cascia Hall at 7 pm tonight. The brackets have changed because of bad weather. Some of the participating teams were out of school today.

A hackberry tree has grown up through an old, twisted oak. It is now taller than the original tree.
