I have read the newsstand copy of your paper at least four times now. I fail to fine any mention about the turmoil in Oologah’s town government. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out something is “rotten in Denmark.” And now you fail to follow up in the paper about the complete details. Is there a big investigation going on and you have been told to keep your mouth shut?
Neat way to hint about a big story to follow.

    • Leader says:

Sorry, the online reference should have been pulled when we realized that the mayor was on vacation without his phone, the vice mayor has resigned, the Town Clerk has apparently resigned but we couldn’t find anyone who could officially confirm it, and the status of the deputy clerk is unclear. The mayor’s status as an elected official is unclear. We’ll keep trying until we can get solid facts nailed down.

If you need to speak to the Oologah Mayor I see him often grocery shopping at Reasor’s off Highway 20, perhaps you can catch him there.
