Nothing says “warm family time” like sitting around a table with family and a table full of pizza.

Hometown Pizza is one of the new businesses to locate in Oologah recently. Owners are the Jean Cornwell and Kimberly Gentry. The restaurant is family oriented where you can sit and enjoy a delicious meal or call in and carry out. The dining facility can accommodate up to 30 people and is also available for parties or events.

The Cornwell family moved to the Oologah-Talala area in 1993, when both of their daughters were in junior high school. Heather (Hadley) Lawrence graduated in 1997 and she now has two sons and one daughter. Holly (Cornwell) Karhoff graduated in 2000 and has two sons. Both of their husbands are named Samuel and both Samuels are in the armed services. Jean and her husband Randy will be married 32 years this month.

Kimberly and Ray Gentry moved to the Oologah-Talala area in 2011 due to Ray’s job relocation. They are the parents of five children.

They love the small town lifestyle. Kimberly said it reminds her of the small community where they lived in Texas.

They have found the Oologah schools embody excellence in academics, music, sports and their agricultural programs and are very pleased how two of their children are thriving in school. Their daughter Rheagan is 11 years old and in the fifth grade and son Kenneth is nine and in third grade.

Their 22-year-old daughter Amanda and her husband, Travis, also live in Oologah with her two children. Justin and Joshua live out of state.

Kimberly has worked in the food service industry for several years and loves serving the community.

Both Gentry and Cornwell said when they found out that a business was going to become available they each felt it would be a perfect opportunity for them to jump into the Oologah business community.

“Hometown Pizza embodies and small ‘hometown’ community spirit and we look forward to serving our customers,” said Cornwell and Gentry.

Hometown Pizza is located just north of Apple Market on Highway 169. The phone number is 918-443-2900.   Website is
