The Lady Mustang soccer team fell to Miami last week and rolled over Tulsa Rogers.
Oologah is ranked #14 in 4A. The Lady Mustangs are 7-5 as they head into the final stretch of the season.
Oologah fell behind early against Miami and couldn’t recover in a 3-2 loss. The Lady Mustangs were down 3-0 at half-time.
“We weren’t really playing up to our potential in the first half. We came out stronger in the second half,” head coach Kyndall Chronister said.
Junior Addy Pritchard scored both of Oologah’s goals in the second half. A late scoring attempt failed and Oologah lost 3-2.
“We fought hard to the last minute. We even had a chance to score with five seconds left from a great shot by Krystal Holley. We just never could get the equalizer,” coach Chronister said.
The Lady Mustangs crushed Tulsa Rogers 8-0 last Thursday.
“I was very pleased with how well the girls played this game,” Chronister said. “Several girls stepped up and put goals away. Not only were we able to score but our defense played really well.”
Oologah had 22 shots on goal and the Lady Ropers never challenged the Lady Mustang goal keeper.
Senior Anna Bacon scored three goals for a hat trick. Addy Pritchard had two goals and two assists. Maddi Brooks had two goals and one assist and senior Amanda McShane had one goal and one assist.
