Rogers County 2011, 2012 audits released

UPDATE: The 2012 audit was released late this morning. It contains findings representing nine material weaknesses in county operations, and also found that “management lacked sufficient documentation for the schedule of expenditures” of more than $6.5-million is federal disaster recovery funds.” The complete audit is available at
We have just received the State Auditor and Inspector’s Report covering FY 2011 for Rogers County government. It contains five findings involving material weaknesses and 14 involving significant deficiencies. Most involve purchasing, bidding or use of federal funds by Commissioners Kirt Thacker and Mike Helm.
