The Lady Mustangs have been battling injuries and tough opponents in the final stretch of the regular season.
Oologah lost to Grove and Vinita last week and almost beat Wagoner Monday night. The Lady Mustangs are 6-14 with two games left before playoffs.
“I thought the kids played hard against Grove and Vinita we just got beat at the free throw line,” Oologah head coach Kandy Damron said. “We got behind in the first half against Wagoner but we had chances to win it.”
Sophomore guard Grace Garrison averaged 15 points per game against Grove, Vinita and Wagoner and she’s scored in double digits in the last seven games. Garrison was named a Player to Watch this week in the Tulsa World. Senior Emily Pashley returned to the lineup in her first full game against Wagoner after an early season knee injury.
