Visitation for Ashley R. Morgan, a graduate of Oologah High School, will be from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013 at Rice Funeral Service in Claremore.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 2013 at First United Methodist Church of Claremore, with interment to follow in Sageeyah Cemetery.
She passed away Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013 at the age of 23.
Ashley Morgan was born in Edmond, OK on August 23, 1990.
Her mother is Layla (Naas) Freeman and her father is Marc Morgan. Claremore was Ashley’s home for 10 years.
She graduated from Oologah High School and NEO Tech Cosmetology; then attended college for a year at University of Central Oklahoma.
During her high school years Ashley was adventurous and free spirited. She loved being creative and was known as the “Queen of Duct Tape” as she liked to make purses and wallets from duct tape and sold them.
Ashley liked to sing and play the guitar and was a fan of undiscovered artists and Indie music. She also loved to visit Oologah Lake to enjoy nature, hiking and appreciating God’s creations.
Ashley had a great, quirky sense of humor and loved to tease her friends and family with her sarcastic humor. She was learning to cook and honing her skills in the kitchen. Ashley liked to go out for Mexican food and loved watching movies with loved ones.
One of God’s gifts to Ashley was her talent and creativity. She loved to do acrylic paintings and filled her canvases with colorful landscapes and sunsets.
Another of her interests including fashion, cosmetology and modeling. Ashley’s family stated she was a creative, loving, kind, appreciative and beautiful person who they will miss dearly.
This loving mother, daughter, sister and friend will be missed by all who knew her. Ashley is survived by her daughter Emilie Morgan; mother Layla Freeman and husband Randall; siblings Savannah Morgan, Tessa Freeman and Ace Morgan; grandparents, Marilyn Naas, Terry Naas; Sue and Louis Morgan; boyfriend and best friend Greg Wentz.
