You no longer have to go out of town to shop for flooring of any kind. Heritage Custom Floors & Boutique is now open for business right next door to Doug’s Grill on Cooweescoowee Ave. in downtown Oologah.
A Grand Opening is scheduled for Nov. 20. You may drop by and see the shop and sigh up for door prizes. Business hours are Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to noon. After hours are by appointment. The phone number is 918-407-4838.
Leslie Peters is a third generation working in the flooring business. She is walking in her grandfather and father’s footsteps, helping people with all of their flooring needs. The family has been in business for 50 years in Oklahoma.
She will offer all types of flooring: hard wood, tile, LVT, laminate, bamboo, cork, and carpet. Her installer has been in the business 37 years.
As an added bonus the shop is also a boutique offering refinished furniture, jewelry, and gift items that are unique to Oologah shoppers.
Leslie graduated from Oologah High School in 2001. Her parents are Jerry and Ronda Stevens. Her father will assist her with the business. Her husband, George, is a teacher/coach in Owasso. They have six-year-old Wade and three-year-old Emma Jewel.
“I selected the name of the store to be Heritage since the business was being located in the building known as the “Rock Church,” said Leslie. “My mother attended church in this building when she was young, so it has a very special meaning to me and my family,” she said. “It is nice to be able to bring my business to Oologah and be in this very special building!”
