School board election called

Oologah School Board members set an annual election for a board seat Monday night.

Board seat #4 is up for election to a five year term. The seat is currently held by board president Lorrie McGlothlin.

Interested candidates must file with the Rogers County Election Board Dec. 2-4 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The election will be held Feb. 11.

In other business, the board voted to surplus three high mileage school buses and a 1988 Chevy truck. Board members approved revisions to teacher and administrator evaluation policies.

The board also approved an application to the state for a certification waiver for Stacy McSpadden as an upper elementary librarian. McSpadden is working to complete her Library Media/Information Technology degree fromNortheasternStateUniversity.

After an executive session, the board voted to hire Gayla Trusty as an upper elementary teacher and Lea Roberts as a Pre-K assistant. The board approved resignations from upper elementary teacher Laura McMillen and bus driver Keith Hodge.
