The Lady Mustangs earned a district softball championship Thursday for the fourth year in a row.
The defending 4A state champs took down Catoosa in two run rule wins. The Lady Indians didn’t score a single run on the Lady Mustangs.
“We played some great defense as a team during districts and one through nine stepped up at the plate and gave us some big hits,” Oologah head coach Kerry Hallman said. “I’m so proud of our seniors that have won four district championships.”

The Lady Mustangs will travel to Mannford Thursday for regional playoff action. Oologah will take on Berryhill at 2 p.m.
“If we play well we’ve got chance to go back to the state tournament,” coach Hallman said. “It’s going to be a tough regional. Our ranking puts us in the middle of the pack. If you’re in the middle of the pack it’s usually a dog fight, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.”
