Doerflinger will be crowned Friday night at 7 p.m. before the Mustangs’ game against Vinita.
The homecoming parade is at 6 p.m. in downtown Oologah. The parade will travel north on Maple Street from the community building to the school.
Safety will be important this year due to the construction of the new grocery store. All parade participants need to report for line-up at 5 p.m.
Groups with horses or any other animals will report to the old Pop’s Place site.
School floats will line up starting at the Community Building next to the park on Maple Street (between Alta and Atlas Avenues).
All nonschool floats will go to Maple Street south of Lake Street in front of Brunson’s cabinet shop.
Traffic cones will block the following streets from 5:30 p.m. to about 6:45pm: Lake Street at the intersection of Maple; Sunday Street east of Maple by the rear entrance of Sonic; Atlas at Maple; Alta at Maple; Cooweescowee from Highway 169; and Sequoyah from Hwy 169 to Walnut.
