York has been a teacher at Oologah for five years. She is a nationally board certified teacher.
She has her principal’s certificate and a master’s degree in education.York is a former Oologah District Teacher of the Year.
“I am very excited about this opportunity to be the principal at the lower elementary. I want to make this a great place for teachers to work and students to learn,” York said. “This is not just a place to work for me. This is my home and my community.”
