|Michael Dean Adams, Sr., longtime resident of Oologah, passed away Monday June 10, 2013 at his home.He was born September 6, 1947 at Henryetta, OK to Koble Floyd and Dorothy Irene (Coble) Adams. Michael was grew up in Lawton, OK, graduating from Lawton Eisenhower High School.
After high school, he attended Oklahoma State University where he played football.
Michael worked as a mechanic most of his life and has made Oologah home for the past 47 years.
Michael enjoyed his work as a mechanic, but in early years was involved with the Boy Scouts of America and coached and was an umpire in Little League Baseball.
Those that survive include his Sister – Sharon Cain of Lawton; Children Michael Dean Adams, Jr of Oologah, Kevin Adams and wife Jennifer of Claremore, Amy Adams of Owasso, Scotty Adams and wife Chassidy of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Marcus Adams and wife Timissa of Claremore, Jennifer Adams of Claremore and a nephew Matthew Holleman of California.
He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Michael was preceded in death by his father Floyd Adams and his mother Dorothy Holm.
A visitation with family is scheduled for 6 p,m. – 8 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2013 at Mowery Funeral Service. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
