The Littler home behind the Oologah Town Hall will go up for auction after town board members approved the item Tuesday morning.
The town recently purchased the property to use as part of a new community center complex. The winning bidder at the auction will be required to move the house to a new location.
Board member Darrell Mitchell submitted an advertisement to be used for the auction. He said the house is structurally sound, but he noted it can be expensive to relocate a home.
The auction will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, June 28 at the Littler property. The board approved having no reserve or minimum bid and including a non-compliance clause if the house isn’t removed within a certain time frame.
“We want to get the house moved. That’s the goal,” mayor Jerry Holland said.
