Oologah opened the baseball season last week and the Mustangs are 2-1.

Oologah lost to Cascia Hall and run ruled NOAH and Vinita. Head coach Kerry Hallman has a good mix of returning starters and younger players in his lineup.

“I’ve started three freshmen already. They’re young but they’re good players. Once they get some varsity experience good things should start to happen,” Hallman said. “We’re returning Dalton Barnes, Tim Luce, Taylor Kelley and Dustin Teenor and they should give us some good leadership on the field. We’ve got eight games in the next two weeks. It’ll be a tough stretch but it’s a good early season test for us.”
