Motorcyclist from across Oklahoma united Friday in Talala to pay tribute to the life and service of Gary Osburn.
“As a proud American Osburn enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving honorably in Vietnam and receiving both a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star, he also received the National Defense Service medal, Vietnam Campaign medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Army Commendation medal and Good Conduct medal,” his obituary noted.
A flag line was set up prior to the funeral to welcome the family and guests into the services at the First Baptist Church.
“The man (Gary Osburn) served under that flag and we provide as much flag as we can possibly give to him to show respect for him and his service he gave to this great nation.” said Patriot Guard Rider David ‘Bear’ Noble. “The day of the funeral will be about Mr.Osburn.
“I’m going to show my respect for him and I demand that his services be conducted with respect and dignity and I’m there to make sure they are”
