John & Faith: How wonderful! Long overdue, really. This comes as no surprise whatsoever.

What a wise (and brave) choice you made when you chose small-town Oklahoma over the big cities long ago.

And if you are ever in Chicago, let us know. We would love to see you

    • Leader says:

Wow, one of the great things about this is hearing from so many dear friends, How are you doing?

  8. Rick Nichols says:

John and Faith – congratulations on your recent honor. Well deserved I am sure. I was made aware of this feat through an e-mail from Laura Hockaday. She said that you, John, had been a reporter at The Kansas City Star. Earlier this month I had the opportunity to judge some material from the Sooner State in connection with the Better Newspaper Contest. While Dad (Dick)was still with us, we were in Will Rogers country on more than one occasion to visit relatives. I even have a relative or two on Mom’s side of the family buried in the area.

    • Leader says:

I assume your Dad was Dick Nichols. I learned so much from him! If you get down this way again, please look us up–home and office are in the book (yes I still have a landline).

  9. gerald jordan says:

    John and Faith,
How wonderful. You prove that good journalism doesn’t require a megabudget, although I’m sure that you could do more with added resources.
    Keep on keepin’ on.

    all the best,
    Gerald Jordan
